Astra

ASTRA is the youth group of Altrusa.  The Green Bay Altrusa Club sponsors an ASTRA group at Notre Dame Academy High School.  As the sponsoring Club, our role was to originally form the ASTRA club and then oversee the ongoing operation and projects.

The Notre Dame ASTRA is a very active group providing community service work throughout our area, such as volunteering at the Children’s Museum, tutoring younger children, weeding the Lady of Bay prayer garden at Notre Dame, set-up at Ignight Market, Notre Dame Phone-A-Thon, 40 Days for Life, and volunteering with various projects at the Altrusa House.  

ASTRA is an acronym that summarizes what the group is all about.  They use their Abilities to Serve our community.  They participate in Training that improves their leadership skills and take Responsibility for their work together.  The members are proud of Achievements that make a real difference to the world. Altrusa International supports ASTRA by recognizing their service through awards, providing scholarships and issuing graduation cords.
