Literacy Committee
The Literacy Committee of the Green Bay Altrusa Club actively promotes literacy in our community, which is the number one goal of Altrusa International. In those efforts, we currently support Family Services, the Give-a-Kid-a-Book Campaign of Friends of the Brown County Library, Golden House, Freedom House, Reach Out and Read (which provides books to medical clinics for children age 5 and under), McCormick Assisted Living, Little Free Library, Operation Paperback (which supports our active military, their families and veterans by providing them books), Achieve Brown County (which seeks to improve literacy among our young people), and more. The Literacy Committee serves as a complement to the work being done by our School Partnership Committee.
