We understand that you may have questions about how the Altrusa Hospitality House works. Call or read our frequently asked questions below to learn more.

  • There is no set fee to stay at the Altrusa Hospitality House. If you are financially able to provide a donation, we would gladly accept it. The actual cost of operating the house is $68/ room/night. The balance of the per-night cost of each room is made up through generous donations that include individual and corporate contributions, foundation grants, and fundraising events.

  • Check-ins are arranged by appointment only.

    Our office hours are:

    Monday-Friday: 8 AM - 12PM and 4 PM-9 PM CST
    Saturday: 8 AM - 12PM CST
    Sunday: 4 PM- 9 PM CST

  • Yes. The Altrusa Hospitality House provides a washer and dryer as well as all detergents and fabric softener needed, free of charge.

  • Yes. The kitchen on the first floor and kitchenette on the second floor are available for guests to prepare their own meals. Food must be purchased by the guests. Baskets are provided to store the items which can be kept in the refrigerators or cupboards.

    Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available for guests. In addition, canned goods and home baked goods are often donated for the guests to enjoy.

  • Housekeeping services are provided daily for all common area spaces. Guests are expected to keep their room clean during their stay. Clean sheets, blankets and towels are available as needed. We ask that guests clean up after themselves after utilizing common areas.

  • The guest must have a family member or close friend in a Green Bay hospital or must be a patient themselves under treatment that requires them to be near one of the hospitals.

    In addition:

    The guest must live +/-60 minutes away from the Green Bay area.

    The guest must have a completed referral form from the hospital or physician’s office.

    All guests must be able to live independently or have a caregiver with them at all times.

  • State law requires that you be eighteen (18) years of age to stay in the House unless accompanied by an adult parent or guardian.

    Children under 18 MUST accompanied by a legal parent or guardian at all tim. We do not provide any childcare at the Altrusa Hospitality House. Therefore, the child must remain under the supervision of the guardian at all times.

  • Yes. The Altrusa House is a SMOKE-FREE facility. Additionally, NO alcoholic beverages, controlled substances, weapons, or flammable substances are allowed.
